MachoTaildrop (movie mondays!)
An independent film about skateboarding (sort of?) that just might work. The dudes that created the film, Cory Adams and Alex Craig from Vancouver, won a Fuel TV contest a couple years ago that allowed them the funding to create a larger budget indie. The film looks like a hybrid of Jared Hess-esque-bizzare-fantastical-skate “comedy”. Pro rippers Rick McCrank and John Rattray have roles in the feature and look hilarious. “Do you need to be touching my horse?” While its making its rounds in the festivals now, keep a look out for this one in the next few months. Hopefully it gets decent distribution and makes it to the Ritz here. Enjoy.
