Bill Sand solo Gallery Opening at Amberella
This Saturday I was lucky enough to attend our good friend Bill Sands gallery opening for his solo show “Simple. Sketchy. Shady.” And it truly was! I mean look at that lurker behind Bill. That guy looks zorched (Just playin Dan!). Previously I had no idea that Bill got down in the mixed media arts. I had only known of his amazing street slashing abilities in the medium of skateboarding and rippage, but the pieces I viewed at the Amberella gallery in the Piazza though simple in construction represented the illusive subtleties in the life of the man we know as William Sands. His art seemed to be an interpretation of the deeper messages that can be found in the “everyday” of our cities and selves developed in his own “Simple. Sketchy. Shady.” style.
